As much as I love the idea of people in the olden days dressing up for flights and putting on their very best clothes and accessories, I want to be comfortable when I travel. For long flights, I opt for Toms, yoga pants and some layers on top because planes can get really cold.
Extra flight essentials include: my jewelry bag (I have heard of them being stolen out of checked luggage), prescription medicines, chapstick, aquaphor, kleenex, travel toothbrush (I'm such a dentist's daughter), scrunchie, Burt's Bees face wipes, almonds/fruit, and anything else you may need.
The most important things are to relax and check the weather of your arrival city so you're not in for any unpleasant surprises when you land!
